What started as my client's chance encounter with an owl ended with a really memorable one of my own.

My client's wife had once spotted this owl while walking their dog on their favourite trail in their neighbourhood and he asked that I include it in this commission to capture that moment. On the very same day we discussed the painting, I was out for an evening walk, when an owl swooped out of the forest and landed on a power line directly above me. As I looked up at it in all its beauty, the biggest shooting star I've ever seen streaked across the sky behind it. It felt too magical to be real, like something straight out of a Disney movie. What started as a painting to preserve a special memory for my client ended up giving me a magical memory of my own.

I'm incredibly grateful to have been trusted with creating such a meaningful commission and milestone birthday gift, and even more thankful that my client and his family loved the finished piece.
