Raccoons are such admirable animals. They are highly intelligent, resourceful, playful and mischievous. Tidal Forager captures this raccoon in its natural habit - washing its paws in the ocean, or possibly cleaning a fresh treat, while the gentle lapping of the waves along the shoreline serve as a constant companion. It’s a peaceful moment capturing this beautiful animal in its natural habitat, a glimpse into the life of this curious creature that also calls the West Coast place home. 
 
In this painting, I loved experimenting with a overall neutral calming palette, adding hints of lavender, red, orange and turquoise in unexpected places guiding the viewer's eye around the piece. My hope is that this painting brings the same sense of wonder and tranquility into your home that I felt while creating it.
