Nature’s Embrace captures a tree branch blanketed in moss with vibrant colour woven throughout, fallen cedar needles decorating the ground beneath your feet, often accompanied by the smell of fresh cedar after a rain. 
 
I came across the tree that inspired this painting in my local neighborhood in Port Moody, B.C. It was instantly intriguing with how it reached towards me at such an interesting angle creating a captivating sense of depth, drawing the eye up the branch of the tree and into the center of the painting.
